Housing crisis has been allowed to go backwards

Budgets do not mirror values, they merely tot up expenditures – and even these are skewed towards what will yield the best return in political, as opposed to social, capital.

If it were otherwise our housing emergency would not have spiralled so out of control.

Today we report on how log cabins may be regarded as a partial answer to housing; a couple of weeks ago luxury liners were put forward. While such ideas are either chopped down or floated, in the real world finding a home is becoming increasingly difficult.
